ABOUT BISG

BISG is The Gambia’s premier British International School.

We opened our doors to our first set of students in September 2022. Our air conditioned, well-resourced, state-of-the-art classrooms are spread over the four floors of our newly built facility located in Kotu, with two direct accesses from the main Bertil Harding Highway. We currently have students in Year 7(Form 1) through to 13 (Form 7).

We are a vibrant, purposeful, inclusive, friendly, multicultural community made up of students and staff from different nationalities. Placing an emphasis on strong and supportive relationships, our staff and students collaborate within a caring and happy atmosphere that resonates throughout our school.

We aim to empower our students in achieving their full potential beyond their IGCSEs and A-Levels, facilitating their growth as creative, analytical, and inquisitive life-long learners, endowed with empathy and nurtured with the courage and determination to seek new opportunities and grow as happy, fulfilled people.

We do this by teaching our students to take responsibility for their own learning and by guiding them towards new knowledge and skills through international curricula that are benchmarked against the high-quality British educational standards. This is made possible by the amazing world class teachers who bring their dedication and passion to every experience both inside and outside of the classroom.
